Mi Havana Cigars VII Kingdoms Maduro Especial Figurado

This Game of Thrones themed cigar has a smooth and silky dark wrapper. It is box pressed and has a solid bunch. Very light aromas of cocoa and coffee come from the foot. The cold draw is a bit tight. Tonight’s beverage is a Real Ale Brewing Commissar Russian Imperial Stout.

The burn immediately runs up one side of the foot taper so I went ahead and lit the wrapper all around it. The draw opens up nicely. The initial flavors are coffee and cedar. There is just a hint of pepper in the retrohale. Once fixed, the burn is very even.

In the first third sweet cocoa notes join the flavor profile. The pepper in the retrohale remains mild. This cigar is very smooth and medium bodied. The burn remains very even.

During the second third the flavor profile remains solid. The retrohale remains very smooth. The ale is a traditional Russian Imperial Stout with roasted barley and just an extra bit of hops and is an excellent pairing. The burn remains very even.

Approaching the final inch the complexity of flavors remains excellent. The construction of the cigar is also excellent. This is a great example of a medium bodied maduro.
