Gran Habano Black Dahlia Corona

This is a very attractive cigar with a smooth medium dark wrapper. The cold draw is a bit tight. There are very rich aromas of toasted tobacco from the foot. Today’s beverage is a Guinness Nitro Cold Brew Coffee Stout.

The initial flavors are earthy and a bit sweet. The retrohale is very smooth. This is a medium bodied smoke with a slightly tight draw. The ash is mottled grey and the burn is even.

In the first third a run develops in the burn. The ash is quite solid, but falls off into the ashtray in a solid chunk at about one inch. The flavor profile remains rich and earthy with a light sweetness. The ale is a bit less sweet than a regular Guinness; the coffee flavor is fairly strong. Overall a good pairing for this cigar.

During the second third the burn works itself back to mostly even. The retrohale has developed black pepper notes but is still smooth. There is also some pepper in the flavor profile. The ash remains fairly firm, but continues to fall at intervals.

Approaching the final inch the pepper notes in both the flavor profile and the retrohale have increased. The profile has developed into a more full bodied smoke. The burn remains steady and the ash continues to fall in solid chunks.

Overall a good cigar with an interesting profile and fairly good construction. 8.8/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
