La Palina Kill Bill TAA

This is a very attractive dark wrapper cigar with a foot taper. It is also a PCA exclusive. The cold draw is perfect. Tonight’s beverage is a 903 Ozymandius barley wine ale.

Initial notes are smooth and flavorful with some notes of nuts and coffee. The smoke is thick and flavorful and the retrohale is smooth. The ash and burn are perfect.

In the first third a bit of spice touches the tongue. There is also an oak note emerging. The ash is a bit fragile but the burn remains even.

During the second third the coffee notes have given way to a very pleasant earthy flavor to complement the oak and nut notes. The ash has firmed up nicely and the burn remains even.

Approaching the final inch the flavors remain steady. The ash and the burn remain good.

Overall a very good cigar. Excellent construction and very tasty complexity. The barleywine ale is an excellent pairing. 9.5/10,
