This is a beautiful dark smooth wrapper Lancero. The cold draw is perfect. Tonight’s beverage is a Diplomatico Reserva Exclusivo.

The initial flavors are medium to full bodied with excellent strong smoke. There is a little sweetness at the bottom of the flavor profile. The ash is mottled grey and fairly solid looking and the burn is even.

In the first third the flavor profile remains strong but smooth. The rum is pairing very well with the flavors. The ash is solid and the burn remains even.

During the second third the burn begins to run on one side. I am rotating the stick to attempt to correct it. The flavor profile remains steady and very rich. The ash has begun to flake and is dropping at intervals.

Approaching the final inch the flavor profile remains steady and complex. The ash remains unsteady but the burn went back to even after a minor correction. The construction was good in spite of the one run.
