Rock-A-Feller Habano Toro

A nice, somewhat veiny, medium brown wrapper is a good presentation. The notes are toasty and the draw is perfect. Today’s beverage is a Hazy Memory IPA from Lagunitas.

The initial flavor notes are toasty and nutty with a good volume of smoke. The ash is mottled grey and looks like it will bear watching and the burn is even.

In the first third the flavor profile remains steady. The hazy IPA is a good pairing. The retrohale is smooth with just a touch of white pepper. The ash tapped off easily and the burn remains steady.

During the second third the smoke remains smooth and medium bodied with a steady flavor profile. The retrohale remains smooth with no increase in the pepper notes. The ash continues to tap easily and the burn remains steady. There is a very short wrapper tear at the bottom that looks like it will not increase.

Approaching the final inch the burn has gone a bit diagonal but steady. The ash continues to tap off easily. The flavor profile remains steady, with a bit of citrus flavor coming from the beer. The overall strength increases slightly, but remains smooth and medium bodied.

The flavor of the cigar is very good, with an interesting complexity. The only issue I have is the burn and the ash, which speaks of the construction. 8.9/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
