The wrapper of the cigar was mostly smooth with a maduro. The cold draw was perfect. The Porter (which is usually reserved for Oscuro) has a good body but with just enough sweetness to make a great pairing.

In the first third the flavor profile is very rich with very thick smoke. Interesting subtle flavors of coffee and cocoa. The early retrohale is medium bodied with just enough pepper to make it interesting. The ash is somewhat wonky, but the burn is even.

Savory spices hit the tongue in the first third. The cocoa falls off to be taken over by typically Nicaraguan loam and wood. The ash has solidified and the burn remains even.

Approaching one inch the flavor profile deepens to a richer smoke with more character. There was one small tear in the wrapper from removing the band, but it didn’t affect the cigar.

This is a very good cigar. The only real problem was the wrapper tear that fixed itself. 9.6/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
