WITH KEYNOTE AND SPONSORSHIP
[WASHINGTON, D.C., MIAMI, FLORIDA – FEBRUARY 19, 2024] Padrón Cigars, one the most successful and enduring premium cigar brands in the industry, will be celebrating its 60th anniversary at the largest premium tobacco trade show in the U.S. this March. Today, Padrón Cigars and the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) are excited to announce a one-of-a-kind sponsorship of this year’s PCA24 trade show and international convention that will offer attendees a chance to celebrate the Padrón’s celebrated past, present, and future.
“To have Padrón celebrate their 60th anniversary with a special PCA showcase is incredible,” said PCA Executive Director Scott Pearce. “It could not be more perfect as we have this monumental change to the Spring time for the show to be able to celebrate one of the great premium cigar pioneering families.”

“My family and I are honored to celebrate our 60th Anniversary at PCA24,” said Jorge Padrón, president of Padrón Cigars Inc. “For over 30 years we have been supporters of this important organization. Our association with its membership has played a significant part in our development as a company. We are pleased to have been given the opportunity to share this special milestone with PCA and we look forward to a strong and continuing relationship,” he added.

The celebration will kick off on March 22, 2024, with the Padrón family delivering this year’s keynote address. In what will be a genuinely can’t-miss event, members of the Padrón family will dive into their family’s history in cigar making and take questions from those in attendance. The Padrón family will offer one of its cigars to the first 200 in attendance as part of the festivities. Also, as part of their sponsorship of this year’s trade show, Padrón’s booth will be located at the center of the trade show floor, making it easy for attendees to find and explore the company’s current and most sought-after premium cigar offerings.
In the premium cigar industry, the Padrón name is synonymous with quality, tradition, and respect for the leaf the cigar making in general. The story of this iconic brand dates back to 1961 when José Orlando Padrón traveled to the United States following a brief stay in Spain after leaving Cuba. In 1962, Padrón traveled by Greyhound bus to Miami, where he realized the type of cigars he enjoyed smoking in Cuba were not available anywhere in Miami. Using his prized hammer and fueled by his entrepreneurial spirit, Padrón earned and saved $600, which allowed him to open Padrón Cigars in September of 1964.
From day one, Padrón focused on the quality of tobacco used to make his cigars. Though the road to success was not easy, he and his company endured and went on to build one of the industry’s most recognized premium cigar brands. With this year’s PCA theme being “legacy of the leaf,” it is only fitting that Padrón and its deep roots in tobacco and enduring legacy of quality and tradition are at the center of PCA24 and its celebration of the premium tobacco industry.
“The PCA is truly honored to be able to help Padron celebrate 60 years of business. Padron, a generational company built on family values that epitomizes so many of our retail members, is the perfect spotlight for PCA2024,” comments PCA President Scott Regina.
