This is a very good looking Corona with a smooth and slightly oily wrapper. Aromas from the foot are earth and wood. The cold draw is perfect. Tonight’s beverage is a 3 oz pour of Woodford Reserve.

The initial flavors are wood over an earthy base. The early retohale is peppery. The ash is light grey and looks solid. The burn is even.

In the first third the flavor profile remains steady. The wood notes are more oak than cedar. The ash dropped on me but didn’t burn anything. The burn remains even.

During the second third the 90 proof bourbon brings the wood out more, but there is still a solid earthy base. The retohale has become very smooth. The ash has a crack or two, so I will tap it into the ashtray periodically. The burn remains even.

Approaching the final inch the medium bodied smoke has become a bit more medium to full bodied. The flavor profile remains steady, with hints of pepper on the tip of the tongue. The retohale has also picked up some pepper. The bourbon is a very good pairing. The ash remains fairly good and the burn remains even.

Overall a very good experience. Great construction and complexity. The Corona vitola is excellent for this blend. 9.5/10, Joe Bob says check it out.
