Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich 55LE

This is a robusto size is a special edition made in honor of Guy Fieri’s 55th birthday (just in case you didn’t know, Fieri collaborated with Eric Espinosa to develop the blend for the Knuckle Sandwich line). The wrapper is a rich dark brown. The notes from the foot are earthy. The cold draw is perfect.

Initial flavors are earthy and sweet with a light sweet touch. It falls firmly between the Habano and Maduro blends in strength. The ash is fairly firm but falls into the ashtray at about 3/4”. The burn is very even.

In the first third the flavor profile remains fairly even. The retrohale is smooth and the cigar is medium bodied. The ash continues to fall at intervals and the burn remains even. The cigar is smoking slowly even with a perfect draw.

Approaching the final inch a white pepper note emerges on the lips and palate. The pepper notes are fairly sharp in the retrohale. The ash remains the same and the burn stays even.

Overall the body of the 55 is fuller than the Habano but less than the maduro. Excellent complexity and good construction, 9.5/10. Joe Bob says check it out (if you can find one as it is a limited run).
